Rhineland Area Food Bank donation
Altona, Manitoba –Red River Mutual staff have once again “dressed casual” to benefit the Rhineland Area Food Bank. Staff at the Altona, MB based insurance company have bought themselves a few ‘jeans days’ this year by donating to the food bank.
According to staff member Jeff Krahn “A donation of $20.00 and 1 non-perishable food item buys each staff member permission to wear jeans to work on the day before each long weekend from May through September”. This year, Red River Mutual staff raised $1,500, which was matched by the company for a total gift to the Rhineland Area Food Bank of $3,000. “In addition to the funds, we also collected 8 shopping bags of food items for the bank,” said Shelley Heppner.
Brian Esau, President of Red River Mutual said, “We are proud to have staff that are active in the community. Whenever community involvement for the company and the individual come together it is a win-win situation”.
