Red River Mutual was pleased to partake in the community-wide “Jersey Day”, planned by students at W.C. Miller Collegiate, to support the local food bank.

W.C. Miller students designated November 29th to be Jersey Day in Altona. Everyone in the community was invited to wear their favourite team colours and donate non-perishable food items for the Rhineland and Area Food Bank. Students and staff from W.C. Miller volunteered to collect the non-perishable items from local businesses and deliver them to the food bank.

Teacher Dennis Friesen said they wanted “To get the whole community on board with this. The timing is perfect since at this time of year, the food bank needs supplies more than ever.”
