The Altona Safety Day was held at the Millennium Exhibition Centre in Altona, MB on Friday, May 23th, 2014.

160 Grade 5 students from across the Pembina Valley learned how to stay safe this summer at the annual Progressive Agriculture Farm Safety Day in Altona. The students went through the Red River Mutual Firefighters’ Burn Fund Fire Safety Trailer and learned about fire safety in the kitchen, fireplace safety, fire escape planning, checking for safe exit routes and knowing two ways out.

Each student received a fire extinguisher stress ball, fire escape planning tool and a Home Safety Checklist in their take home bag. Red River Mutual is proud to be a Gold level sponsor for the Safety Day.
