Red River Mutual Rides Big Bike for a Cause
On Wednesday, September 20, 2017, Red River Mutual staff rode the Big Bike for Heart and Stroke through the streets of Altona to raise funds and awareness for a great cause.
The ‘Mutual Marauders’ consisted of 26 riders – Red River Mutual staff – who together raised $6,000 in donations. Since 2009, Red River Mutual staff and our supporting brokers have raised over $40,000 riding the Big Bike for Heart and Stroke.
“It’s wonderful how we can work together to help provide funding in the fight for a cure,” said Red River Mutual staff organizer Christopher Garbutt. “All funds raised through the Big Bike Ride are invested in research and educational programs that will empower Canadians to make positive changes; changes that will help to prevent disease, save lives the moment emergency strikes, and promote recovery when and where it’s needed.”
Red River Mutual would also like to extend a special Thank You to IGA and the Sun Valley Co-op for providing the food served at the appreciation barbeque held after the bike ride.
