Every year, the Insurance Business Canada Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements of people, companies, and services in the insurance industry. Excellence Awardees were selected following an open call for nominations to Insurance Business Magazine’s nationwide readership of over 35,000 insurance professionals. Over the last four years, Red River Mutual has been an Excellence Awardee for a wide range of their categories.

This year, we’re excited to share we have been named an Excellence Awardee in five categories for the Insurance Business Canada Awards! The company-wide awards are:

1. The CNA Award for Excellence in Philanthropy & Community Service – This award recognizes the organization whose outstanding contribution of time, leadership and financial support over a sustained period and beyond normal expectations has made significant impacts for causes or in communities.
2. Outstanding Customer Experience Award – This award acknowledges insurances companies, offices, and independent adjusting firms with a proven track record of providing their clients with superior support.
3. Excellence in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – This award recognizes an organization in the Insurance space that has diversity and inclusion at the heart of its business, providing programs for employees from five groups including women, members of visible minorities, persons with disabilities, Aboriginal peoples and the LGBTI community.

We’re not done yet though – Red River Mutual is an Excellence Awardee for the following team/individual award categories:

1. Claims Team of the Year – This award recognizes the best claims team within an insurer operating in Canada that has displayed excellence over the past 12-18 months.  Red River Mutual’s Claims team’s dedication and commitment to their customer-first approach, which is grounded in empathy, transparency, and responsiveness is at the heart of our company values. We are excited to see their hard work and efforts be recognized at this level. Congratulations Claims!
2. CEO of the Year – This award goes to the CEO that has demonstrated exceptional leadership over the last 12 months, bringing their organization to a new level of growth and success and stimulating the insurance industry. Since taking on the role in 2023, our President & CEO, Brenda Gibson, has been pivotal in driving substantial growth at Red River Mutual and we are excited to see her efforts recognized as an Excellence Awardee. Congratulations Brenda!
