Red River Mutual Donates $10,000 to Altona Field of Dreams
Altona, Manitoba – Red River Mutual is pleased to be able to help the Altona Minor Baseball league, with the building of a full sized baseball diamond for the community of Altona and surrounding area, by donating $10,000 to the project.
Altona Minor Baseball is considered a leader by the Manitoba Baseball Association, and the South Central Region, and strives to have as many participants aged 6-18 as possible. The Altona Junior Bison are one of the cornerstone associations in the Manitoba Junior Baseball League providing competitive baseball training for players aged 19-21.
The Altona Field of Dreams Committee feel a full sized field is needed in order to continue to grow the program, and to ease the scheduling pressure on the one diamond that is now shared between multiple teams. This diamond would also allow Altona to host League, Provincial and National Championships.
Red River Mutual emulates the “Modern Mutual” by investing a portion of company profits back into the community through loss prevention education and through the support of worthy community projects.
