John Proven, CPA-CA, is the President & Chief Executive Officer of CEL Group of Companies, a world-leader in controlled environment technologies specializing in plant growth applications. John joined CEL having been a Vice-President, Investments of GrowthWorks Capital Ltd where he spent several years as a director. Prior to GrowthWorks, John spent ten years in the newspaper publishing and commercial printing business. He is active in the community as a Past Chair of the Associates of the I.H. Asper School of Business, a Director of Cerebra Medical Inc., and a member of the United Way of Winnipeg Major Donor Cabinet.
