For 2010, Red River Mutual is a proud sponsor of Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg. In addition to funding, several Red River staff will be taking part in a ‘sustainable’ home build this summer. Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg, founded in 1987, has built 179 homes offering partner families a hand up, not a hand out. Families are able to purchase their homes with a no down payment, interest free mortgage with payments geared to family income rather than the value of the property thus allowing them to build equity in their home.
