On behalf of the of the Board of Directors of Red River Mutual we announce that Brian Esau, President and CEO, effective March 31, 2023, will be moving on to the next chapter.

Brian has been involved with Red River Mutual for 25 years; his first 10 years as a member of the Board of Directors and the last 15 years as the President and CEO. During his time as CEO, the company has grown significantly in gross premium written, making Red River Mutual the 2^nd largest property insurance provider in Manitoba.

The company has excelled under Brian’s leadership transforming it into a truly “modern mutual”. This includes the implementation of industry-leading technology, diversification in leadership, enhancement of products, expansion of markets from Ontario to British Columbia, and consistently high satisfaction scores from policyholders, brokers, and employees.

Over the last few months, the Board of Directors alongside Brian have been working to ensure an orderly succession of responsibilities. We are actively recruiting for a new CEO and will share more information as soon as possible.

We wish Brian all the best and thank him for leaving Red River Mutual well positioned for its next chapter of innovation and growth. As we move into this transitional period, we are confident that the Senior Leadership Team will maintain business as usual.
