Corporate Giving
at Red River Mutual

Our Roots

A positive force in our communities.

In 1875, a group of newcomers moved to a small town in southern Manitoba only to find they couldn’t access the insurance they needed to grow and thrive as a community. Their need became Red River Mutual’s mission.

Our company was built to support families, farms, businesses and the communities they call home — roots that still support everything we do today. We want to see our communities and policyholders thrive, so we focus on partnering with the very folks we protect. While our initiatives may change over time, our commitment to people remains strong.

At Red River Mutual, we focus our corporate giving on three pillars: Community Well Being, Sustainability, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Community
Well Being

We care for customers and coworkers like family.

Our policyholders are incredibly important to us, so we love supporting organizations that give back to and care about people in the following areas:

Safety and Loss Prevention
Initiatives that focus on implementing loss prevention practices and providing safety education for homeowners, farmers, and business owners.

Health and Wellness
Initiatives that focus on physical and mental health and wellness for people of all ages

Sustainability

We’re playing the long game.

Sustainability isn’t something you can achieve overnight — it takes patience, time and effort. We support organizations who champion sustainability in the following areas:

Food Security
Programs that support accessibility or education around food for local communities and farmers.

Environmental Sustainability
Community initiatives that prioritize sustainability projects and green space development or renewal.

Diversity, Equity
& Inclusion

We’re challenging the status quo.

We believe all voices should be heard, celebrated and take up space. We prioritize supporting organizations that fight for equal opportunity in the following areas:

Accessibility
Initiatives that work to increase accessibility in physical and digital spaces.

Community Inclusion
Initiatives that focus on providing opportunities and support for equitable play, work and involvement in the community.

Why Do We Give Back?

Corporate giving is our way of supporting resilience in communities. Not only do we work to help protect homeowners, farmers, and businesses from loss, but we also strive to help provide them resources and understanding to adapt and grow.

Stronger communities can make a stronger positive impact for those who work, play, and learn there

Sharing opportunities.

We’re eager to connect and learn about opportunities where we can make a positive impact in the community. Does your organization fit into one of these pillars? If so, we want to hear about it.
