Wapella Happy Go Lucky Club
Wapella, SK
This building, which originated as a local seniors club, is also now used for the local food bank and the local farmers’ market. The community serves breakfast out of it five days a week, and it is open for coffee every day. The space also hosts weekly crib tournaments, soup and sandwich days, and other various events that draw the community together. Unfortunately, the building will have to close if the community can’t get the roof repaired. They have been doing various fundraisers, but the need is becoming more urgent, and with the upkeep of the building, utilities, etc., they are struggling to come up with repair funds.
The roof has a major leak, and the tin has recently been blown off by a heavy wind, leaving the building in a big need of repair.
