Scallion Creek Trail

The Scallion Creek Trail runs through the town of Virden, Manitoba and is accessible to anyone who wishes to use it. Due to its importance to the community, Virden wants to improve, restore, and expand the Scallion Creek Trail.

Currently, the existing dock at the Trout Pond is deteriorative and is not completely safe for use. By adding picnic tables and restoring the dock, people using the trail can rest and enjoy the scenic area.

Installing walking bridge over the creek in this area will also provide people with access to an additional attraction along the trail. These walking trails will connect the community together and contribute to promoting healthy living for all. Since revitalization has begun, the community has seen a greater number of people walking, running, or biking on the path and a renewed interest in the area.
