Good Neighbours Food Centre aka Pete’s Garden

Rosthern, SK

The Good Neighbours Food Centre Food Bank is a cornerstone facility in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. They provide free lunches on a weekly basis and serve an average of 1,000 people each month, of which 450 are children. The Food Bank’s Garden is named Pete’s Garden, in honour of the man who started it and continues to run it, with the goal of increasing the amount of produce the Food Bank can offer clients.

Their compost bins are in dire need of patching, so they can continue to sustainably reduce waste and improve the soil condition of Pete’s Garden to provide the best possible produce to the community in need. To make the Pete’s Garden more noticeable to the community, they will also be erecting a sign.
