The rural municipality of Springfield is a community that loves its baseball, and the Dugald Community Club Baseball Diamond is where the community comes to play. From minor leagues to “Sandlot Saturdays,” the grounds are always teeming with people and its fields are beginning to look a bit like diamonds in the rough.
Without an update to the Dugald Community Club Baseball Diamond, home games would be moved out of the community, which would limit the ability of fans to fill the stands.
Red River Mutual has helped the Dugald Community Club Baseball Diamond spruce up their story by providing $14,560 for upgrading the baseball diamonds with dugout covers and field enhancements, including grading and current backstop repairs to ensure the field can better accommodate competitive play for young and old alike.
